Skip the Line Empire State Building
Rising to a total height of 1454 feet above Midtown Manhattan, New York City’s Empire State Building is one of the most recognisable structures in the world. Named after the nickname of New York State, the building’s plans went through fifteen revisions in order to ensure that it would be, at the time of its completion in 1931, the world’s tallest skyscraper. It retained this distinction for almost 40 years, when another New York building, the World Trade Center’s North Tower, was completed in 1970. It was also the first to exceed 100 floors.
While the Empire State Building is, to this day, primarily comprised of office space, with numerous international companies renting space there, it is also a major draw for tourists. Inevitably, this leads to long waiting times for those wishing to climb the tower and view Manhattan from either of its two observation decks, on the 86th and 102nd floors. This allows you to see other famous landmarks, such as the Chrysler Building, the Hudson River and Central Park.
If you only have a short time to spend in New York City, and don’t want to waste it, a skip the line ticket will enable you to jump straight to the front, greatly reducing the time you will need to wait.
In the city that never sleeps, the Empire State Building fits that description perfectly. It is open every day of the year, including all holidays, from 8am until 2am. So if you want to see the sunset or even the sunrise from one of the world’s tallest buildings, you can do exactly that. All you have to do now is hope for clear skies so you can see those fantastic views at their absolute best!
